Miniature Bull Terrier
The Miniature Bull Terrier is an active, playful, courageous, spirited, fun-loving dog who always needs to be doing something. He does best with lots of companionship and supervision. He is an independent thinker but is responsive to consistent discipline. They can be difficult to train, as they are eager to please ... themselves. They will chew, destroy things, and bark incessantly, if left alone for hours at a time. They love to join in on family activities. These dogs become very attached to their owners and families. They become very protective, sometimes even possessive. They are natural guard dogs, but in the absence of a threat, they are usually good with strangers. They tend to be dog aggressive, and two unaltered males should not be expected to live together in the same household. They can be quite fearless. The MBT has a strong prey drive and will probably chase small animals, so they should be kept on lead or in a fenced-in area. They are fond of children, tolerant of their behaviors, but some MBT's can be too energetic and rowdy for young children. MBT's can be rough playmates and can accidentally knock a child over. These dogs also might snap at a child who constantly teases them, so children need to be respectful and supervised. The MBT likes to be the center of attention, and their unpredictable goofiness can be incredibly entertaining. They are tireless playmates and will chase balls for hours. They love to make you laugh.
